主要从事行星测绘遥感与三维形貌测图的理论方法和应用研究。主持国家自然科学基金项目3项，发表高水平SCI论文80余篇，授权发明专利和软件著作权30余项。入选上海市海外高层次人才计划和上海市青年科技英才扬帆计划，获美国摄影测量与遥感学会John I. Davidson主席应用论文奖、全国高校GIS新锐、国家科技进步一等奖和上海市科技进步一等奖等荣誉奖励。担任Photogrammetric Record期刊编委、测绘学报与Journal of Remote Sensing期刊青年编委、中国宇航学会深空探测技术专业委员会委员、中国测绘学会深空探测遥感测绘工作委员会委员、30余个国际SCI期刊审稿人。
